[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Members of the Gwangjin-gu Council (Chairperson Park Samrye) participated in the ‘2021 Warm Winter Kimchi Making’ event held on the 10th at Neungdong Jeongja Madang.
Organized by the Gwangjin-gu Saemaeul Women's Association, the event took place over two days, the 9th and 10th, to help neighbors in need around us. Members of the district and neighborhood Saemaeul Women's Associations, volunteers, and multicultural immigrant women participated.
In particular, the event added warmth by providing a place where multicultural families could experience Korean culture and interact with the local community to help them settle successfully.
On the second day of the event, the 11th, Chairperson Park Samrye and council members Park Seongyeon, Jang Gilcheon, Park Sunbok, Kim Miyoung, and Jang Gyeonghui personally wore aprons and joined in making kimchi, communicating with and encouraging residents as they prepared for a warm winter together.
