Gwangju Seo-gu 'Daily Recovery Promotion Team' Meeting Held

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Seo Dae-seok) announced on the 12th that it held a meeting of the ‘Seo-gu Daily Recovery Promotion Team’ to review current district administration issues following the phased transition to daily life recovery.

This meeting was held to review and discuss “What should be the key points to check?” in order to realize the three major principles of ‘Seo-gu-style With Corona’ established last month: ▲ phased and orderly daily recovery ▲ harmony between quarantine and livelihood ▲ citizen-centered daily recovery with citizens.

At the meeting, about 200 major district administration tasks were categorized into four areas: economic livelihood, social education, autonomous safety, and quarantine medical care. The discussion focused on phased quarantine measures and support plans for stabilizing citizens’ livelihoods.

Among them, special attention was given to small business owners who suffered significant damage due to COVID-19, integrated care plans for vulnerable groups using AI, and the preparation of response measures by resident autonomy organizations tailored to the characteristics of each village.

In addition, the team explored preemptive measures for thorough quarantine and prevention of citizen confusion in phases 2 and 3, such as establishing self-quarantine measures in preparation for allowing meals at senior centers, and quarantine measures for large-scale gatherings when various cultural, sports events, and local festivals resume.

Seo Dae-seok, Mayor of Seo-gu, said, “Just like with COVID-19, daily recovery is a path we have never taken before,” and added, “We will catch both rabbits of quarantine and citizens’ daily recovery by providing highly advanced administrative services that meet the high level of citizen awareness.”
