It is expected that ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practice cases, such as reducing greenhouse gases at restaurants and other venues, will increase.
aT announced that on the 12th, it signed a business agreement with the Korea Foodservice Industry Association at the Seoul aT Center to spread low-carbon diets and healthy dining culture. Through the agreement, the two organizations will jointly promote the 'Korea Green Food Day' campaign and cooperate on domestic and international dining information to practice ESG values together.
'Korea Green Food Day' is a campaign vigorously promoted by aT to reduce greenhouse gas emissions throughout the entire process of food production, distribution, and consumption. The goal is to achieve carbon neutrality (net zero) from farm to table. aT held a related proclamation ceremony last September and has been expanding participating organizations, with the dining industry now joining the campaign.

Additionally, the two organizations will co-host the '2021 Korea Meokket Festa,' a 30-day campaign to advance dining culture, starting from the 15th. This cooperation aims to overcome the management crisis in the dining industry caused by COVID-19 and to promote government policies related to safe restaurants and dining. Kim Chun-jin, president of aT, said, "In the era of climate crisis, cooperation with the dining industry, which is the field most closely related to low-carbon and eco-friendly diets, is very meaningful," adding, "aT will work together to spread eco-friendly dining culture for the health of the planet and the people and to revitalize the dining industry."
