Sancheong-gun Implements 'Visiting Provincial Residents Human Rights School' Education Program
Instructor Jang Ok-kyung Conducts Lecture on Improving Human Rights Awareness
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 9th that it conducted the '2021 Traveling Provincial Human Rights School' education.
The training, held on the 5th for about 20 town and township officials, was conducted with the purpose of promoting a project by Gyeongnam Province to enhance residents' understanding and interest in human rights, spreading human rights values in the local community, and creating a happy human rights culture together with residents.
The education was conducted through a lecture on 'Improving Human Rights Sensitivity' by Jang Ok-kyung, a human rights instructor from the National Human Rights Commission. In addition, a small group discussion was held to explore human rights issues in daily life through concrete cases.
A Sancheong-gun official said, "We hope this training will be a good opportunity to raise public officials' understanding and interest in human rights and to form a proper human rights culture within the organization."
