NongHyup Bank Foreign Exchange Department Donates Korean Rice Purchased with Department Bonus Funds
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] NH Nonghyup Bank announced on the 9th that Executive Vice President Kyunggeun Oh of the Corporate Investment Finance Division and employees of the Foreign Exchange Business Department visited the Cheonyeon-dong Community Service Center in Seodaemun-gu to donate 600kg of domestic rice to neighbors in need within the district.
The domestic rice delivered on this day was purchased from farmers struggling to secure sales channels for their rice, using the prize money awarded to the Foreign Exchange Business Department of Nonghyup Bank for "Excellence in Foreign Exchange Derivatives Business Performance in 2020," ahead of Farmers' Day on the 11th.
The Foreign Exchange Business Department has donated rice to the Cheonyeon-dong Community Service Center for the third consecutive year, following 2017 and 2020, and the center has been distributing the donated new rice to elderly residents in need, such as seniors living alone in the district.
