[Asia Economy Reporter Na Yeeun] An incident occurred in which a newborn infant was abandoned in a public restroom by the sea in Goseong, Gangwon Province, prompting the police to launch an investigation.
According to the Goseong Police Station on the 8th, around 3 p.m. on the 7th, a resident in their 50s discovered a newborn infant in a public restroom near Bongpo Beach in Toseong-myeon, Goseong-gun, and reported it to the police.
The infant was immediately transported to a nearby hospital by the 119 emergency medical team that responded to the report, but the infant's condition is reported to be critical.
The resident stated, "I went to the restroom and noticed something moving, and upon checking, it was a newborn baby."
