View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The Gyeongsangbuk-do Chapter of the Korea Specialty Contractors Association donated 10 million KRW in scholarships to the Gyeongsangbuk-do Community Chest of Korea on the 8th to foster future talents.
The donated scholarship funds were delivered to the Gyeongsangbuk-do Lifelong Education Center for Talents and will be used for scholarship projects to support children from low-income families and nurture local talents.
The Gyeongbuk Chapter, which has 3,508 specialty construction contractors as member companies, also donated 40 million KRW for COVID-19 relief funds and 18.83 million KRW to the Fruit of Love campaign in February and December last year, respectively.
Additionally, in February this year, they donated 10 million KRW to the Provincial Citizens' Neighborly Love Happiness Sharing Fund, continuously striving every year to support the local community in need and leading corporate social responsibility and the spread of donation culture.
Lee Jeong-cheol, Chairman of the Gyeongbuk Chapter of the Korea Specialty Contractors Association, said, “Although everyone is struggling due to COVID-19, support for young talents who will lead the future must not stop.”
He added, “We will work together with local specialty construction workers to overcome difficult times and contribute to making Gyeongbuk a better place to live.”
