Essential Smartwatch App 'MrTime' Launches New iOS Version
Wearable fashion tech brand Mr.Time (CEO Kyung Sung-hyun) announced on the 8th that it will release a new iOS version for Apple Watch users.
Mr.Time is currently ranked number one in the Wear OS category on the domestic Google Play Store, with 5 million downloads. It is a global platform where users can create and apply smartwatch faces directly on their mobile devices. Through the app, users can use watch faces created by others for free, create their own unique designs, and share them with users worldwide.
This update focuses on stability and user convenience through optimization for Apple watchOS 8. As a result, users can enjoy a more convenient service experience. They can easily design their own watch faces and instantly view matching straps.
This year, Mr.Time collaborated with UK design groups PetsRock, Nerdy, and Wiggle Wiggle to showcase watch face content and watch straps.
Additionally, Mr.Time plans to sequentially offer premium watch faces produced in-house and content created in collaboration with designers and brands from various fields.
Meanwhile, the release of the new iOS version app was carried out with an eye on entering the Japanese market, one of the countries with the highest demand for Apple Watch. To facilitate this expansion, Mr.Time has completed an MOU with Takefuji Co., Ltd., a Japanese watch manufacturing and distribution specialist, and is preparing to sign an MOU with e-commerce company Griton Co., Ltd. within the year.
Through this MOU, Mr.Time will simultaneously develop services and supply straps in Japan through both companies, and aims to introduce all Mr.Time products through online and offline channels by next year.
Mr.Time CEO Kyung Sung-hyun stated, “With new smartwatches being released consecutively in the second half of the year, a differentiated ‘watch decoration’ trend is becoming widespread, especially among MZ consumers who are highly interested in self-expression. We expect this to expand to the scale of the smartphone customization market,” adding, “To this end, we will actively promote our services not only in Japan but globally to spark a K-wave in the wearable content and accessory market.”

Meanwhile, to celebrate the renewal of its official online store, Mr.Time plans to hold an event offering discount coupons to customers who sign up on the store by December 31 of this year.
