Ministry of Foreign Affairs Issues 'Departure Advisory' Alert for Ceasefire Ethiopia
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo In-ho] The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it has raised the travel advisory for all regions of Ethiopia, where the civil war is intensifying, to Level 3 (Departure Recommendation) effective from the 5th.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs advised canceling or postponing visits to Ethiopia and recommended that nationals currently staying there depart to safe areas unless for urgent matters.

Previously, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had issued a Level 3 travel advisory only for Tigray, northern Amhara, Afar, Somali, Gambela, Benishangul-Gumuz regions of Ethiopia, and areas within 10 km of the borders with Sudan, South Sudan, Eritrea, and Kenya.
