Hansome, Q3 Operating Profit Up 41%... Consumer Sentiment Recovery
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seung-jin] As consumer sentiment, suppressed by COVID-19, revived, Hansome posted solid results in the third quarter of this year.
Hansome, a fashion specialist company affiliated with Hyundai Department Store, announced on the 5th that it recorded an operating profit of 31.8 billion KRW on a consolidated basis in the third quarter of this year. This is a 41% increase compared to the same period last year. Sales during the same period amounted to 296.4 billion KRW, up 13.5%.
Accumulated operating profit for the third quarter reached 100.5 billion KRW, a 52.4% increase compared to the same period last year. Sales recorded 942.4 billion KRW, up 16.4%.
This is analyzed to be due to the base effect of COVID-19 and the simultaneous revival of consumer sentiment, resulting in balanced growth in both online and offline performance.
