Gimhae-si and LH Collaborate on Big Data-Based Urban Development Direction Study
Extension of 2-Year Agreement for Joint Research and Utilization of Big Data with LH
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Gimhae City, Gyeongnam, extended its agreement for two more years on the 4th to collaborate on big data joint research and utilization with Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH).
Since 2019, the city has been working with LH to address urban issues through big data, advance urban public services, and promote smart city innovation.
Key achievements include deriving a "fire risk prediction model" through a big data analysis competition and actively using "green coverage big data analysis" for Gimhae's urban greening design and street tree policy decisions by utilizing LH's data analysis platform COMPAS.
Based on this extended agreement, the city plans to undertake the task of "selecting locations for IoT sensor installation to collect urban data" next year.

A city official stated, "We will continue to cooperate with LH to enhance urban competitiveness through big data analysis aimed at solving urban issues such as environment, transportation, safety, and energy."
