‘Hapcheon Yellow River Town Development Project’ Agreement
150,000 Pyeong Residential Complex, Agricultural Complex, Leisure Facilities, and Tourist Attractions Development
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam Province, and the private company 'GLF&I' announced on the 4th that they have signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the 'Hapcheon Yellow River Town Development Project.'
This implementation agreement includes provisions for the development of a residential complex, agricultural complex, leisure facilities, and tourist attractions covering approximately 495,000㎡ in the Seongsan-ri area of Yongju-myeon through private investment.
Last July, the county and GLF&I signed a memorandum of understanding to promote the project, but progress was temporarily delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Recently, as the investor's conditions have improved, full efforts will be made to achieve concrete results in 2022.
County Governor Moon Jun-hee stated, "Once Yellow River Town, equipped with rest areas and leisure facilities, is established, it will naturally lead to job creation and population growth," adding, "We expect it to be a step forward toward becoming a cultural tourism city in the With-Corona era."
