The operation of project members was newly introduced this year by Gyeonggi Arts Center to provide performance opportunities to local artists struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and to strengthen the performance competitiveness of the Gyeonggi Arts Center.
The number of recruits includes 4 for the Gyeonggi-do Theater Company, 8 for the Gyeonggi-do Dance Company, 8 for the Gyeonggi Sinawi Orchestra, and 11 for the Gyeonggi Philharmonic Orchestra.
Applicants must be 20 years or older (born on or before December 31, 2002) and be artists who can perform in two works or at least four times in one work of the 2022 Gyeonggi-do Arts Troupe. The activity period is one year.
A Gyeonggi Arts Center official stated, "We plan to operate the project member system temporarily next year and review its continuation based on the project results."
