[Jeonju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] The Jeonbuk Provincial Office in China (Director Lee Ji-hyung) announced on the 2nd that it participated in the 3rd Korea-China Trade and Investment Expo hosted by Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province, China, and operated the Jeollabuk-do promotional booth.
This event was hosted by the China International Chamber of Commerce and organized by the Yancheng Municipal People's Government and the Yancheng Economic and Technological Development Zone Administrative Committee.
The event featured a Korean local government promotional hall (Hall A), a Korean company hall located in Yancheng City (Hall B, including Kia, Hyundai Mobis, SK Innovation, etc.), and a Korea-China imported goods exhibition hall (Hall C).
Jeollabuk-do, as a sister city to Jiangsu Province, was provided the main booth in the promotional hall where nine local governments, including Gyeonggi Province, participated.
The promotional hall was designed with a focus on the Korean image of Jeollabuk-do, and to promote the ‘2023 Jeonbuk Asia-Pacific Masters Games,’ the event mascot ‘Achi & Taechi’ was created and a photo zone was operated together.
In particular, the China Office attracted attention at the event by conducting experiences such as making hanji lanterns and hanji wind chimes through cooperation with the Tourism General Division and the International Cultural Exchange Promotion Institute, and by holding a quiz event titled ‘How well do you know Jeollabuk-do?’
Additionally, the China Office reported that the Yancheng Municipal People's Government, the organizing department, expressed gratitude several times for the well-organized and sincere promotional hall setup and passionate experience event operation, and requested participation in the event the following year as well.
