'Hannam University Student Wins Grand Prize in "Korea Traditional Costume Contest"'

View original image[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] A student from Hannam University won the grand prize at the Daehanmun Traditional Costume Contest. This contest, which has been held for 22 years, features many participants from the general public and hanbok experts competing in skill.
According to Hannam University on the 2nd, at the "21st Korea Traditional Costume Contest," Park Ye-rin (4th year), a student majoring in Clothing at the university, won the grand prize (Busan Mayor's Award), and Chae Bok-seong (4th year) received the encouragement award.
Additionally, Shim Gyu-ri, Moon Da-in, Lee Soo-bin, and Park Yoo-seon (all 4th year) received special selection awards in the traditional costume category, while Choi Hyun-ji, Kang Han-bit (3rd year), and Park Sang-min (summer semester graduate) were named winners of special and honorable mentions in the creative costume category.
The Clothing major at Hannam University operates courses related to hanbok, and students produce high-quality works as graduation projects, participating in the contest every year and achieving excellent results.
This contest was hosted by Busan City and organized by the Busan Textile Fashion Industry Association.
