Yeosu Youth Center Private Operation Agency Public Contest

[Yeosu=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Sim Kyung-taek] Yeosu City in Jeollanam-do is inviting applications for organizations to operate the ‘Yeosu Youth Training Center’ and the ‘Youth Sexual Culture Center’ starting from 2022, as the current private consignment period expires on December 31.

According to the city, this recruitment is targeted at youth organizations (corporations), and the consignment includes overall operation and management of the Youth Training Center and the Youth Sexual Culture Center.

The operation period will be five years from 2022 to 2026 for the ‘Youth Training Center’ and three years from 2022 to 2024 for the ‘Youth Sexual Culture Center’.

Located in Hakdong, the ‘Yeosu Youth Training Center’ opened in 2001 with three floors above ground and one basement floor. It assigns youth instructors to run various experiential programs for youth, supporting skill enhancement and capacity development. The facilities include a performance hall, Eoulmadang, billiard room, book cafe, gymnasium, club rooms, lounge, and gymnasium, serving as a cultural space for youth, infants, and local residents.

The ‘Yeosu Youth Sexual Culture Center’ is located on the second floor of the Youth Training Center, equipped with an education room and offices. It contributes to establishing healthy sexual identities for all citizens and nearby residents through outreach sex education targeting infants, elementary, middle, and high school students, and the general public.

For detailed information on consignment conditions, refer to the announcement section on the Yeosu City website. Applications can be submitted in person to the Women and Family Division, Child and Youth Team from the 10th to the 12th of this month.

A city official stated, “We hope for active participation from capable youth organizations so that the youth, the leaders of the next generation, can grow healthily and the community becomes a cultural hub for communication among local residents.”
