The KRC Happiness Recharge Volunteer Group of the Korea Rural Community Corporation recently carried out a housing improvement project at the home of Mr. Lee, who has cerebral palsy and visual impairment, in the district through recommendations for social contribution activity beneficiaries.
The volunteer group, together with the administrative welfare center staff, conducted warm volunteer activities including collecting indoor trash, replacing the roof and waterproofing, installing windows and sashes, replacing wallpaper and flooring, and providing daily necessities.
The beneficiary, Mr. Lee, expressed his gratitude repeatedly to the volunteers despite difficulties in verbal communication, saying, “I am thankful that a lot of trash has been removed and my nose hurts less.” Shin Byungcheol, head of Nampeong-eup, said, “We appreciate the warm hearts of the Korea Rural Community Corporation’s social contribution group, which continues to practice community sharing with the goal of a vibrant and happy rural area,” and added, “We will not spare interest and support so that the beneficiary can continue to live stably in a pleasant environment.”
