COVID-19 Vaccination Completion Rate at 75.3%, First Dose Vaccination Rate at 80.1% (Comprehensive)
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] As COVID-19 vaccinations continue, the vaccination completion rate has reached the 75% range.
According to the COVID-19 Vaccination Response Promotion Team (Promotion Team), as of midnight on the 31st, the total number of people who have completed vaccination by receiving all recommended doses of the COVID-19 vaccine is 38,660,478.
The vaccination completion rate is 75.3% of the population of South Korea (51,349,116 as of last December) and 87.6% of the population aged 18 and over.
The number of people who completed vaccination the previous day was 357,137.
Breaking down the number of newly completed vaccinations by vaccine type from the previous day: Moderna 206,602, Pfizer 148,505, AstraZeneca (AZ) 1,529, and the rest were Janssen recipients.
The cumulative number of completed vaccinations by vaccine type is Pfizer 20,593,295, AstraZeneca 10,981,672 (including 1,752,574 cross-vaccinations), Moderna 5,244,112, and Janssen 1,484,262.
