On the 30th, Yoo Seung-min, a former lawmaker and presidential candidate of the People Power Party, announced his disability-related pledges. Yoo said on social media (SNS), "The state will step in to support the upbringing of children with disabled parents," adding, "Current policies mainly focus on support for disabled children, and there is a lack of support measures for non-disabled children with disabled parents. We will dispatch childcare experts to families with disabled parents to ensure seamless childcare support."
He continued, "We will increase the disability welfare budget, currently at about 3.0661 trillion won, to over 5 trillion won," and stated, "We will raise cash benefits such as disability allowances and pensions to guarantee the living rights of disabled people."
He also promised to strengthen disability education. He said, "We will raise the special education teacher staffing rate to over 90% and establish a ‘School for Training Digital Talent with Disabilities,’" adding, "We will build regional hub-type national special schools in all 228 local governments without exception and put more effort into training special education experts."

Yoo said, "We will build public children's rehabilitation hospitals by region so that disabled children can receive specialized rehabilitation treatment affordably and nearby," adding, "We will implement a primary care physician system for developmental disabilities in each village and activate home physical therapy for people with severe disabilities."
Additionally, he promised to introduce barrier-free certification for offices, create environments for sports and cultural activities accessible to disabled people, and establish a presidential direct ‘Special Committee on Disabilities.’
