Ahn Cheol-soo Declares Third Presidential Run... Candidacy Announcement Ceremony Tomorrow at 10 AM in the National Assembly

[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] Ahn Cheol-soo, leader of the People’s Party, will announce his candidacy for the presidential election.
The People’s Party announced that Ahn will hold a presidential candidacy declaration ceremony at 10 a.m. on the 1st of next month at the lawn square inside the National Assembly.
This will be Ahn’s third run for the presidency.
Previously, Ahn ran in the 2012 presidential election and, while discussing unification with candidate Moon Jae-in, he withdrew mid-way and declared support for Moon. In the 2017 presidential election, he ran as the People’s Party candidate and finished in third place.

Earlier, Ahn had declared his candidacy for the Seoul mayoral by-election and stated that he would not run for president.
