View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Seoul city announced that the number of new COVID-19 cases in Seoul was counted as 520 from midnight to 6 p.m. on Saturday the 30th, a period of 18 hours.
Compared to the same time frame, this is 77 fewer than the 597 cases on the previous day (29th) and 103 more than the 417 cases a week ago (23rd). The total number of cases for the entire day was 706 on the 29th and 519 on the 23rd.
The daily number of cases in Seoul reached a record high of 1,221 on the 24th of last month, then dropped to 298 on the 18th of this month, before maintaining the 500 range for five consecutive days from the 19th to the 23rd. On the 24th and 25th, the number fell to the 400 range due to reduced testing on the weekend, but surged again from the 26th, recording the 700 range for four consecutive days until the 29th.
