Gyeongnam Provincial Council Wins 'Best Award' for Outstanding Local Council Case

The Gyeongnam Provincial Council announced on the 30th that it received the Prime Minister's Commendation, the highest award, at this year's Local Council Best Case Competition held on the 29th at the Ulsan Exhibition & Convention Center, hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the revival of local councils, 100 excellent cases were submitted from local governments and local councils nationwide for this competition. The Gyeongnam Provincial Council introduced the excellent case titled "The Vision of Reform by the Council Member Research Group, Leading the Future!"
The council member research group, composed of council members, emphasized that over the past 10 years, through research activities such as forums and field activities, they have achieved innovative and excellent results in various fields including local autonomy, economy, environment, and welfare.
Currently, the research activities of 12 council member research groups have been highly evaluated for contributing to the enactment and revision of numerous ordinances, reflecting policies of the government and Gyeongsangnam-do, revising related laws, and strengthening communication with residents.
Shim Sang-dong, a provincial council member who presented, said, "It was an honor to introduce the excellent achievements of legislative activities nationwide," and added, "We will work hard to become a future-oriented Gyeongsangnam-do Provincial Council by enhancing council members' expertise and strengthening communication with residents."
