According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) on that day, approximately 51,000 applicants applied for about 9,000 units in this public housing pre-sale application.
Specifically, the special supply for public housing showed a competition rate of 8.3 to 1, while the Newlywed Hope Town in the local area showed a competition rate of 2.3 to 1 based on interim results.
Among the public housing, the 3rd New Town Namyangju Wangsuk 2 District recorded an overall competition rate of 18.4 to 1. Among them, the highly preferred exclusive 84㎡ type showed a very high interest with 29.9 to 1 for A1 complex and 44.9 to 1 for A3 complex.
In addition, the Seongnam Sinchon District, located in an area of interest, showed a competition rate of 19.1 to 1, and about 19,000 people applied for the 2nd New Towns such as Incheon Geomdan (5.3 to 1) and Paju Unjeong 3 (5 to 1).
For the Newlywed Hope Town, small to medium-sized districts are supplied 100% to the local area first, and applications for Seongnam Bokjeong 2, Bucheon Wonjong, Gunpo Daeyami, and Seongnam Nakseong districts have closed.
Among the closed application areas, Seongnam Nakseong exclusive 59㎡ (terrace type) recorded the highest competition rate of 13.9 to 1. Seongnam Bokjeong 2 exclusive 56㎡ (terrace type) had 6.1 to 1, followed by Bucheon Wonjong exclusive 55㎡.
Suwon Dangsu and Uiwang Wolam districts will additionally accept applications from metropolitan area residents, and the final competition rate will be calculated.
Meanwhile, the cumulative number of visitors exceeded about 750,000 within five days from the start of the 2nd public housing pre-sale application, showing high interest from non-homeowners and actual demanders in the pre-sale.
As a result, the cumulative number of visitors to the pre-sale website since its launch in April has reached 12 million.

Nam Young-woo, head of the Public Housing Promotion Team at MOLIT, said, “While promoting the 2nd public housing pre-sale, we can feel the continuous high interest from non-homeowners and actual demanders, which makes us feel a greater sense of responsibility.” He added, “We will make thorough preparations for the remaining 18,000 units scheduled for this year, and we will also announce specific locations for the 30,000 units planned for next year, which are currently being discussed with related agencies, as soon as possible.”
