[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) announced on the 27th that KIPO Commissioner Kim Yong-rae and Acting Commissioner of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) Drew Hirshfeld held a meeting at KIPO's video conference room. During the meeting, the two patent offices shared policy directions such as the unification of the patent assignment system and the improvement of the international application system through the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT), and agreed to jointly respond to the rapid development of digital technologies including artificial intelligence.
