View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] CU announced on the 28th that it is launching the ‘Be Green Friends Season 3: Please Support Our Courage!’ campaign in collaboration with the beauty brand Aromatica.
This campaign was planned to encourage consumers to practice proper separation and disposal by installing collection bins for used transparent PET bottles at CU stores, and furthermore, to establish a virtuous cycle system where the collected waste resources can be recycled.
CU will install collection bins and campaign banners at directly operated stores located in Gangnam-gu and at the BGF headquarters building. Aromatica plans to recycle the collected used transparent PET bottles into post-consumer recycled (PCR) containers and eco-friendly goods.
Until the 14th of next month, CU will give Aromatica shampoo bars by lottery to 100 customers who post on their personal social networking services (SNS) about practicing proper PET bottle separation and disposal in daily life. Additionally, all customers who pre-order Aromatica’s eco-friendly products through the membership application PocketCU will receive free shipping and discounts on Aromatica refill products.
