Muan-gun Establishes 2022 Cadastral Resurvey Project Plan... Secures 1.2 Billion Won in National Funding
Leading Efforts to Resolve Cadastral Discrepancies and Protect Residents' Property Rights for 5,836 Parcels in 4 Districts
[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 27th that it has secured 1.2 billion KRW in national funds to promote the 2022 cadastral readjustment project and has established a cadastral readjustment implementation plan for four districts?Mongtan Dalsan 1 District, Mangun Songhyeon 1 District, Haeje Haksong 1 District, and Unnam Hamyo District?covering 8 villages, 5,836 parcels, and 4.79 million square meters, and will conduct a public inspection for residents.
The cadastral readjustment project is a long-term national project (2012?2030) that conducts cadastral readjustment surveys on cadastral mismatched areas where the boundaries on the cadastral map do not match the actual land status, corrects registration details such as land boundaries and areas through boundary agreements with landowners, and newly registers them in the cadastral register.
Additionally, the cadastral readjustment project greatly contributes to regional economic development by resolving overlaps with adjacent land, buildings, and fences, increasing utilization through boundary regularization, and maintaining village paths that were not organized due to the Saemaul Undong (New Village Movement), thereby enhancing land use value and facilitating the exercise of property rights.
The county plans to hold a residents' briefing session on the implementation plan next month while complying with COVID-19 quarantine guidelines and will collect consent forms from landowners for the cadastral readjustment project, with cadastral readjustment surveys scheduled to begin in January next year.
A Muan-gun official said, "The 2022 project will significantly expand the project volume to resolve as many cadastral mismatch complaints and land boundary disputes among residents as possible, so we ask for active participation from landowners and residents for smooth project progress," adding, "County officials will also do their best to successfully carry out the project through active communication with local residents on site."
Meanwhile, Muan-gun completed cadastral readjustment projects for 10,514 parcels (17 districts) from the Muan Gojul District in 2012 to Samhyang Maekpo 1 District and Hyeongyeong Dongsan 1 District in 2020, and next year plans to promote 5,836 parcels, an 80% increase compared to this year's volume (3,228 parcels).
