Jeon Hae-cheol: "No Tae-woo's state funeral site decided to be other than National Cemetery"
[Asia Economy Reporters Jeon Jinyoung and Park Juni] Jeon Hae-cheol, Minister of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, stated on the 27th regarding the funeral of the late former President Roh Tae-woo being held as a state funeral, “The burial site has been decided not to be at the National Cemetery.”
After visiting the late former President Roh’s funeral hall in the morning and paying respects, Minister Jeon told reporters, “Regarding the remaining burial site issues, we will listen to the family’s opinions and decide through consultation.”
The funeral committee chairman will be Prime Minister Kim Boo-kyum, and Minister Jeon will serve as the funeral execution committee chairman. The detailed deliberations will be conducted by the Vice Minister of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, who will lead the committee.
