View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] CU announced on the 27th that it will launch 'Buldak Mango Ale' on the 28th in collaboration with Samyang Foods and The Sserelight Brewing.
Buldak Mango Ale is a product created to deliver new flavors and fun to craft beer enthusiasts by combining two different products, ramen and beer. It is the first craft beer developed with a food pairing concept among the craft beers CU has introduced so far, and unlike regular beers, it was planned considering harmony with spicy foods.
To complement the sharp and spicy flavor characteristic of the Buldak series, mango concentrate is added during the brewing process to give a fresh and sweet aroma. It is also made with German malt and American hops to achieve the flavor of a popular beer. The IBU, a unit indicating the bitterness of beer, is 25, which is less bitter compared to typical ale beers (30?50).
Buldak Mango Ale is currently planned for overseas export early next year. Malaysia, where CU has already entered the market, is being considered as the first export country, and the number of export countries will be continuously expanded in the future. Malaysians, like Koreans, have a high preference for spicy flavors and are familiar with the CU brand and Buldak Bokkeum Myun.
