Hyundai Doosan Infracore first signed contracts to supply a total of 88 construction equipment units, including 60 excavators to Chilean global forestry company Arauco and 28 units of excavators and wheel loaders to Besalco. Hyundai Doosan Infracore plans to deliver 34-ton, 36-ton, and 26-ton excavator models to Arauco, and 30-ton and 26-ton excavators as well as 25-ton and 42-ton wheel loaders to Besalco.
In particular, Arauco is known as a customer with a large volume of construction equipment orders, making competition with construction equipment companies fierce during each bidding process due to the large order size. Hyundai Doosan Infracore explained that this order contract was mainly possible because the Hyundai Doosan Infracore equipment previously purchased by Arauco operated smoothly without any issues for over 10,000 hours, earning trust in terms of quality.
Hyundai Doosan Infracore also secured orders for a total of 50 construction equipment units from SK Rental, a local Colombian company, including 22-ton and 30-ton crawler excavators, 14-ton and 19-ton wheeled excavators, and DL320A wheel loaders. SK Rental is Colombia's largest construction equipment rental company with over 80 units of construction equipment, of which more than 60 are Hyundai Doosan Infracore equipment.
A Hyundai Doosan Infracore official stated, "High satisfaction with Hyundai Doosan Infracore's high-quality equipment in the Latin American market is leading to large orders and a virtuous cycle of brand image enhancement," adding, "We will do our best to accelerate attracting large customers and expand our market dominance."
The Latin American region, rich in underground and forest resources, is a region with steady demand for construction equipment. The construction equipment market size this year is expected to reach about 27,000 units, a 47% increase compared to the previous year.
