[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province is promoting the establishment of a Semiconductor High School. If a Semiconductor High School is established in Yongin, it will become the second specialized high school for semiconductors in the country, following Chungbuk Semiconductor High School in Eumseong, Chungbuk.
On the 26th, Yongin City announced that with the creation of the Semiconductor Cluster General Industrial Complex, the need for customized excellent human resources in the semiconductor field is increasing, and to address the shortage of vocational high schools in Yongin, it is considering the establishment of a Semiconductor High School.
Yongin City plans to prepare specific school establishment plans with the Yongin Office of Education once the policy decision to establish the Semiconductor High School is made.
