According to the Gyeongnam Fire Headquarters on the 25th, the fire was extinguished around 11:13 PM by firefighters who responded to a report from the church priest A (39).
The fire destroyed the nun's quarters on the second floor of the church, causing an estimated damage of about 6.3 million won according to the fire department. Nun B (in her 70s), who was sleeping there, suffered second- to third-degree burns.
Nun B was immediately transported to the hospital and is reported to be in stable condition without life-threatening injuries.
