[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] British pop star Ed Sheeran has tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of the release of his new album. He plans to conduct interviews and performances during self-quarantine.
On the 24th (local time), Sheeran announced on Instagram, "I tested positive for COVID-19" and added, "I am currently self-quarantining and following government guidelines."
The singer-songwriter is scheduled to release his new album '=' (Equals), which he has been working on for four years, on the 29th. However, the COVID-19 diagnosis has inevitably disrupted the album's release schedule.
