[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] On the 23rd, Sanggang (霜降), a solar term meaning 'the time when frost falls,' the whole country will be mostly clear, but the east coast and Jeju Island are expected to have occasional clouds.
In the southern east coast of Gangwon, raindrops will fall in some places until morning.
As of 5 a.m. on this day, temperatures are 6.9°C in Seoul, 8.6°C in Incheon, 3.9°C in Suwon, 4.5°C in Chuncheon, 8.3°C in Gangneung, 6.1°C in Cheongju, 4.9°C in Daejeon, 5.6°C in Jeonju, 7.4°C in Gwangju, 12.6°C in Jeju, 6.3°C in Daegu, 11.2°C in Busan, 9.7°C in Ulsan, and 10.7°C in Changwon.
In northern Gyeonggi and the inland mountainous areas of Gangwon, morning temperatures will drop below 0°C in some places. The daytime high temperature is forecast to be between 16 and 21°C, with a temperature difference of about 15°C between day and night.
Fine dust concentration will be at 'good' to 'moderate' levels across all regions. Some central-western areas are expected to have slightly higher concentrations in the morning due to atmospheric stagnation causing accumulation of domestically generated fine dust.
Strong winds of 10 to 16 m/s will blow over the southern East Sea, the eastern offshore waters of the South Sea, and the southern offshore waters of Jeju Island, with high waves expected.
