Lee Jae-myung Visits Bongha Village: "I Will Follow Roh Moo-hyun's Path"
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] Lee Jae-myung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea (current Governor of Gyeonggi Province), visited Bongha Village in Gimhae, Gyeongnam on the 22nd to pay respects at the grave of the late former President Roh Moo-hyun and to meet with Mrs. Kwon Yang-sook.
After meeting with Mrs. Kwon, Lee told reporters, "The path that former President Roh wanted to take is a world without unfairness and privilege, a world where people live together, which is exactly the same as the 'Great Unity World' I have spoken about," adding, "The path is the same, the way of living is the same, and the way of thinking is the same."
Lee emphasized, "We must continue on that path. I believe that everyone must work together to move toward a world without unfairness and privilege, a world where people live together, which we have not yet reached."
Mrs. Kwon reportedly told Lee, "You resemble your husband a lot when you were young," and added, "I worry that you might break."
