Creative Ideas and Collaboration for Complex Social Issues Using the 'Design Thinking' Methodology
First-Come, First-Served Registration for 40 Participants via Seoul Library Website
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] Seoul Library announced on the 21st that it will conduct a total of 8 sessions of the citizen program titled "Creating a Sustainable Society Together through Design Thinking" from next month 19th to December 15th.
The lectures will mainly be conducted online, and activities will be held either online or in small offline groups depending on the social distancing level. Based on a recruitment of 40 participants, they will be divided into 5 teams, each with a facilitator to assist team members with lecture progress and discussion activities. Any adult interested in and willing to learn design thinking can participate.

Lee Jung-soo, Director of Seoul Library, said, "The core of the complex and rapidly changing economic and technological society is people, and based on a deep understanding of these people, we planned this program to solve social problems together using the 'design thinking' methodology." He added, "We hope this program will be an opportunity to design a happy life for individuals and lead participation in a sustainable society."
