[Photo] Korea Forest Service Holds the 20th Mountain Day Ceremony in Daejeon
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The Korea Forest Service announced on the 18th that it held the '20th Mountain Day' commemorative ceremony at the Daejeon Wood Culture Experience Center. At the ceremony, the Korea Forest Service presented the Order of Civil Merit, Dongbaek Medal, to Heo Tae-jo, President of the Korea Forest Protection Association, and held a government awards ceremony for 12 individuals who contributed to forest development. 'Mountain Day (October 18)' was designated following the UN's declaration of 2002 as the 'International Year of Mountains.'
