Former lawmaker Yoo Seung-min asked former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-youl during his lead-off debate how he interpreted the directive for a thorough investigation into Daejang-dong given the previous day. Former Prosecutor General Yoon replied, "If I had interpreted that well, would I have been fired?" adding, "What I don't understand is that even when I was a prosecutor, I didn't always listen to the Prosecutor General. If there is corruption, you investigate it. What does the president have to do with that..."
When Yoo interrupted and asked again, "What do you mean?" Yoon said, "I originally have trouble understanding what people say," and added, "They told me to investigate the ruling party as well, and I took it as it was." Yoo then asked, "Then shouldn't former special prosecutor Park Young-soo and former Supreme Court Justice Kwon Soon-il also be thoroughly investigated?" to which Yoon replied, "Yes."
People Power Party lawmaker Hong Joon-pyo asked former Prosecutor General Yoon about the 'Jeju Second Airport' project, inquiring, "What about the plan to expand the current Jeju Airport?" Yoon responded, "I also thought that would be good, so in a previous debate, I asked Candidate Won if it would be possible to expand the existing airport by laying steel plates like Japan's Kansai Airport, but he said it was difficult."
Hearing this, Hong said, "Master Cheonggong said the expansion plan is good," and added, "He told me to watch the YouTube video where Cheonggong appears, so I did." Yoon laughed and replied, "I don't know."

Former Governor Won explained, "When I was elected, it was 51%," adding, "It was the highest ever, and during my tenure and upon leaving office, it fluctuated between 42% and 53%." He continued, "It is the highest approval rating in Jeju's history," and questioned, "If I wasn't popular, would I have been re-elected in a place where all the National Assembly members and three-quarters of the provincial councilors are from the Democratic Party?" He then criticized Hong's pledge to establish a 'casino,' saying, "If you say casino, less than 30% support it."
