CJ Logistics and Road Traffic Authority Join Hands to Foster a 'Safe Traffic Culture'
[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] CJ Logistics announced on the 12th that it signed a "Business Agreement for Securing Traffic Safety for Delivery Workers" with the Korea Road Traffic Authority at its headquarters in Seosomun-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul, to prevent traffic accidents and promote a safe traffic culture.
Through this agreement, CJ Logistics will provide traffic safety education opportunities to its executives, employees, and delivery drivers, and mutually cooperate to prevent traffic accidents and spread a culture of traffic safety.
A collaborative system for various educational programs to raise traffic safety awareness among delivery workers will be established. Considering the convenience of delivery drivers, professional instructors will visit delivery sub-terminals directly to conduct customized education using the Korea Road Traffic Authority's traffic safety content, such as the revised Road Traffic Act and traffic accident cases.
They plan to carry out various activities and campaigns to raise awareness of traffic safety culture, including recommending enrollment in the "Good Driving Mileage" system, which provides incentives such as offsetting license penalty points if no traffic accidents occur and no traffic violations are committed for one year.
They will also join efforts to secure traffic safety infrastructure in local communities. They plan to conduct "traffic safety consulting" to analyze issues related to traffic infrastructure such as roads near logistics facilities with heavy freight vehicle traffic and safety facilities, and to diagnose risk factors for traffic accidents.
