MFDS Suspends Sales and Recalls Sundaeguk Products Contaminated with Salmonella
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety announced on the 8th that Salmonella bacteria were detected in Sundaeguk manufactured by Chowon Food, a food manufacturing and processing company located in Gimpo-si, Gyeonggi Province, leading to a suspension of sales and a recall.
The recalled products are those with an expiration date marked as 'July 4, 2022.'
Salmonella bacteria are food poisoning bacteria widely found in the intestines of animals such as poultry and pigs, as well as in nature, causing fever, abdominal pain, and vomiting.
