Blue House NSC Standing Committee Meeting Held: "Stability of Current Situation Is Very Important"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] On the afternoon of the 7th, the Blue House held a Standing Committee meeting of the National Security Council (NSC) chaired by Suh Hoon, Director of the National Security Office, to discuss measures related to inter-Korean dialogue and future-oriented Korea-Japan relations.
The attendees evaluated the restoration and normal operation of the inter-Korean communication line, agreed to continuously seek ways to promptly resume inter-Korean dialogue and advance consultations, and decided to further strengthen communication and cooperation with related countries.
They also reviewed recent changes in the security situation around the Korean Peninsula, closely examined developments related to North Korea, emphasized the importance of maintaining stability in the current situation, and particularly stressed that military tensions must not be created.
