"Out of Curiosity"... Teacher Illegally Filming Under High School Girl's Skirt
[Asia Economy Reporter Na Ye-eun] A male teacher who filmed under the skirts of his students at the high school where he works was arrested by the police.
The Changwon Western Police Station in Gyeongnam announced on the 6th that they have booked a teacher in his 30s, Mr. A, on charges of filming using a camera under the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes. It is known that some of the victimized students were also questioned by the police on the same day.
Mr. A is accused of filming under the skirts of his students with his mobile phone in classrooms and the teachers' office at a high school in Changwon where he works.
The crime was uncovered when a student who sensed the victimization informed their parents about the situation.
The police seized Mr. A’s mobile phone and computer and discovered video footage matching the victims' claims. They also confirmed that there is at least one additional victim besides the student who first reported the incident.
The school immediately excluded Mr. A from classes and separated him from the students.
Meanwhile, during the police investigation, Mr. A reportedly admitted to the crime, stating that he committed the illegal filming out of curiosity.

The police are conducting a digital forensic analysis of Mr. A’s mobile phone and investigating the exact scale of the damage and whether the footage has been distributed.
