On the 5th, Sejong Telecom announced that it held the ‘5G Specialized Network Mobile Caravan Agreement and Launch Ceremony’ to discover companies demanding 5G-based digital transformation (DX) and provide total solutions optimized for various industry types.
The mobile caravan project is composed of seven specialized companies in fields such as 5G-related terminals, network systems, platforms, Internet of Things (IoT), and engineering, with Sejong Telecom as the core.
In January, the Ministry of Science and ICT announced the ‘5G Specialized Network Policy,’ allowing third parties to build specialized networks and provide them to demand companies.
The mobile caravan ▲discovers demand companies aiming to promote digital transformation and visits them directly, ▲analyzes their requirements and identifies difficulties, and ▲provides optimal solutions and close mentoring.
When demand companies proceed with the introduction of 5G specialized networks through the mobile caravan, Sejong Telecom, as the lead company, takes full responsibility for business, service development, and operation. It conducts consulting, network construction, and operation services, while partner companies provide total solutions to ensure service implementation.
Sejong Telecom plans to increase the number of participating companies. Along with this, it will establish the nation’s first privately-led 5G specialized network testbed at its IDC, providing an environment where companies can freely test and verify 5G.
