Exploring Youth Policy Issues and Development Directions
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family announced on the 4th that it will actively respond to the changed policy environment after COVID-19 by promoting digital communication using the metaverse (extended virtual world) in collaboration with the Korea Youth Policy Institute.
The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family will hold policy consultations, which were conducted offline twice a year, through a metaverse platform and will actively promote online communication. This digital meeting was organized to develop tasks related to youth activities, protection, and welfare in the post-COVID era and to explore directions for the development of youth policies.
In the era of digital transformation, the Ministry plans to strengthen interaction with academia, the field related to youth, and youth themselves by utilizing the metaverse, and to lead the spread of online communication culture.
