'Renewable Energy Cultural Festival' Held at Seoul Energy Dream Center Until the 17th
Operation of Various Programs Including Renewable Energy Photo and Poem Contest and New Renewable Energy Tour
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 5th that it will hold the renewable energy cultural festival "Exploring Renewable Energy" both online and offline at the Seoul Energy Dream Center until the 17th to raise awareness of the need for energy transition toward a carbon-neutral society.
Now in its third year, the renewable energy cultural festival was planned to increase citizens' interest in renewable energy and to establish the use of renewable energy as a cultural practice in daily life. This event will be conducted through both in-person and non-face-to-face programs to prevent COVID-19 infection and comply with quarantine guidelines.
The main event, "Sun, Wind, Earth, and Dica-si (poetry)," is an online and offline contest where participants submit photos they have taken of renewable energy resources such as the sun, wind, and earth, along with free-form poems of up to five lines.
Non-face-to-face programs include the outdoor self-guided program "Finding Hidden Renewable Energy" and "Meeting the Masters of New and Renewable Energy!" which introduces expert interview videos about new and renewable energy. Face-to-face programs include the "New and Renewable Energy Tour," which involves visiting the Dream Center and Seoul Energy Corporation, "Energy Dream Expedition," which explores the principles of hydrogen cars with exhibition explanations, and "Renewable Energy and Architecture," where participants experience being eco-friendly architects. All face-to-face programs require advance reservations.
