Sporadic Infections Continue in Other Regions and Hospitals... 13 Confirmed Cases in Gwangju on the 3rd
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] Thirteen new confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the Gwangju area.
According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 3rd, 13 people in the Gwangju area were confirmed positive for COVID-19 in one day, classified as Gwangju cases 5065 to 5077.
They include 2 related to manufacturing in Gwangsan-gu, 1 under administrative order at a job placement agency, 1 related to a medical institution in Dong-gu, 4 related to previously confirmed cases, and 5 related to other cities and provinces.
Two additional confirmed cases were identified through pre-release testing from self-quarantine related to the manufacturing infection in Gwangsan-gu, and the one under administrative order at the job placement agency is a foreign national from Indonesia.
One more confirmed case related to the medical institution in Dong-gu was added, and a family member of a confirmed patient who was discharged from the hospital on the 2nd and later tested positive was infected in a chain. The cumulative number of confirmed cases related to the medical institution in Dong-gu is now 13.
Nine people infected through contact with previously confirmed patients or confirmed patients from other regions were finally confirmed positive and have entered isolation treatment. Among them, two were infected after overlapping movements with Jeonnam case 3113, who visited a pub in Seo-gu on the 28th of last month.
