[Asia Economy Reporter Jihee Kim] GC Green Cross Wellbeing announced on the 30th that it has launched the genetic testing kit 'Dr.Gene' in collaboration with the genomics specialist company Teragen Bio.
This product is a genetic testing solution exclusively for clinics and hospitals, capable of diagnosing a total of 20 major cancers and diseases (11 major cancers and 9 general diseases) with a single test. Without a complicated process, users can simply collect oral epithelial cell samples and check the results. Through this solution, users can obtain detailed genetic analysis results such as lifetime disease prevalence, risk levels, and genotypes for various diseases.
The company explained that it can effectively analyze various genetic mutations by utilizing a 'mass genotype analysis' system. Teragen Bio, participating in this partnership, has launched the personal genome analysis service 'HelloGene' and is currently supplying it to major university hospitals and health screening centers in Korea.
