Novartis Korea Appoints Yubyeongjae as New President
[Asia Economy Reporter Seo So-jeong] Novartis Korea announced that Yoo Byung-jae was inaugurated as the new president on the 1st.
President Yoo graduated from Korea University with a degree in Business Administration and from Harvard Business School. He first entered the healthcare industry in 2006 by joining the marketing team of the Vascular Business Unit at Johnson & Johnson Medical in the United States. Since then, he served as the marketing leader for the orthopedic business units in the US, UK, and Australia, and after returning to Korea in 2010, he led various business areas including general surgery, cardiovascular intervention, and plastic surgery.
Until recently, he served as the president overseeing the North Asia region, including Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, at Johnson & Johnson Medical. He also gained brand management experience at consumer goods companies such as Coca-Cola and Unilever, and worked as a management consultant at Boston Consulting Group.
