Special Extended Opening of Im Kwon-taek Film Museum... Commemorating Busan International Film Festival 'Asian Filmmaker Award' Win

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Director Im Kwon-taek, Chair Professor at Dongseo University, will be the first Korean to receive the Asia Filmmaker of the Year Award at the 26th Busan International Film Festival.
Since its inception in 2003, the Busan International Film Festival's Asia Filmmaker of the Year Award is given to Asian filmmakers who have contributed to the development of the Asian film industry and culture.
In 2019, director Hirokazu Koreeda, known for films such as Shoplifters and Our Little Sister, received the award, and in 2018, music director Ryuichi Sakamoto, who composed the score for the film Fortress of War, was honored.
The Im Kwon-taek Film Museum at Dongseo University will hold special extended hours from 12 PM to 7 PM daily from October 6 to 15, coinciding with the Busan International Film Festival, to celebrate Director Im Kwon-taek's award.
Admission is free and no reservation is required. Group visits of 10 or more people can be reserved in advance.
The Im Kwon-taek Museum is located on Dongseo University's Centum Campus, adjacent to the Busan Cinema Center in Haeundae.
The museum is a living witness to the history of Korean cinema and a cultural and artistic space where visitors can experience the cinematic world of the globally renowned master director Im Kwon-taek up close.
