[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Samhwa Paint Industrial Co., Ltd. sponsored paint for the '2021 11th Gyeonggi World Ceramic Biennale' held from October 1 to November 28.
Hosted by Gyeonggi Province and the Korea Ceramic Foundation, the Gyeonggi World Ceramic Biennale is an event where ceramic artists from around the world participate to introduce global ceramic culture. This year, under the theme 'Re: Start,' it is held simultaneously at the Gwangju Gyeonggi Ceramic Museum, Yeoju Gyeonggi Living Ceramic Art Museum, Icheon Gyeonggi Ceramic Museum, and online platforms.
Samhwa Paint sponsored paint for the Netherlands National Invitation Exhibition held at the Icheon Gyeonggi Ceramic Museum to commemorate the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and the Netherlands during the Gyeonggi World Ceramic Biennale. The exhibition features experimental and creative works by contemporary Dutch ceramic artists. Samhwa Paint not only provided paint support but also proposed colors symbolizing the Netherlands, such as orange, white, and blue, adding significance to the national invitation exhibition.
In the exhibition hall, a special paint from Samhwa Paint's premium product line 'The Classy,' which is blended with fragrance, was applied. Created in collaboration with a perfumer from GIP (Grasse Institute of Perfumery), a French fragrance school, this product is characterized by having no typical paint odor and instead enriches the space with a subtle scent. In particular, a fragrance reminiscent of the beautiful nature of the Netherlands was applied to create an exhibition space that delights the five senses.
