Yeosu Technical High School Signs Academic-Military Exchange Agreement with Marine Corps
Various Benefits Provided Including 1.5 Bonus Points for Selection of Military Non-Commissioned Officers
[Yeosu=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Sim Kyung-taek] On the 28th, Jeonnam Yeosu Technical High School and the Marine Corps signed an academic-military exchange agreement in the school's makerspace room to foster excellent military officers.
According to Yeosu Technical High School, through this exchange agreement, students at Yeosu Technical High School are expected to have good opportunities for those aspiring to a military non-commissioned officer career, such as receiving additional points (1.5 points) when selected as military non-commissioned officers, and being given the chance to be selected as non-commissioned officer candidates through the principal's recommendation if certain criteria are met annually.
In particular, Yeosu Technical High School operates an after-school military non-commissioned officer class and has earned the reputation of being the "school producing the most military non-commissioned officers in Jeonnam" by passing 10 Marine Corps military non-commissioned officers this year.
Marine Corps Commander Kim Tae-seong said, "This agreement provides Yeosu Technical High School students with an opportunity to prepare for their future stably, and the Marine Corps can welcome excellent students early, making this a meaningful agreement with two benefits."
Yeosu Technical High School Principal Jeon Yong-seok promised, "Through the academic-military exchange agreement, we expect Yeosu Technical High School students to take a big step forward in pioneering military non-commissioned officer careers, and we will do our best to nurture talents with the skills and character required by the Republic of Korea Marine Corps."
